Staffordshire Knots with unusual prong fittings.
I am not sure if these are necessarily military badges but I bought them as they were unusual. They have double prongs so are clearly not meant to be removed on a regular basis from whatever they were designed to be attached to.
As I have a pair, I am guessing that they are either for shoulder boards or perhaps collars. If anyone can tell me exactly what they are or who wore them, I would be delighted. |

Stephen,
So they are collar badges then. It is obvious now that you have told me what they are. We haven't got a Staffy so the collie will have to wear them, or perhaps the cat. Many thanks, Simon. |

Ideal for The Padres for The Staffordshire Regiments, could wear them on their dog collars.

Further research has revealed that they from the very short lived Staffordshire Company of the King's Own Scottish Border Collies, whose battle honours include the Battle of Barking Creek, (not the WW2 incident but the earlier Victorian campaign on the Isle of Dogs).
