Default 10th Mounted Rifles display

Gentlemen
I want to share this display, although nicely done I noticed the collars are both facing in the same direction? Is this normal.
Kind regards Chay

I think you have two left facing collars.

Hi Mike!
Yes they are both facing left, it’s an old piece ! The brass work is quite substantial.
Kind regards Chay

Dear Tweed.

I am not a collector of Canadian badges with the exception of Candian Signals Badges.

It is worth noting that the Officer's Collar Badges for the Canadian Signalling Corps 1908 to 1921 with enamel signal flags were not an issued item but private purchase. These collar badges had the Canadian Beaver at the bottom and both the Beavers point in the one direction which was to the left on both badges. This was no mistake but how the badges were made. Just wondered if it was the same situation on the two (Elk Heads) pointing to the left on your badges.

I do not actually have a pair of the CSC collar badges but I have attached the one I have to show you what I mean. I do assure you that both the Beavers for this period of time on CSC collars pointed to the left.

Hope this helps It seems odd that a plaque like you have shown would be incorrect hence the reason for my post.

Best wishes

Hi Chris,
Thank you for that information!
I suppose the display was commissioned by the veteran so he would have wanted it to be correct I would imagine!
Ps I picked up a magnificent colossal estate from a WW2 signals veteran, he collected everything !
Kind regards Chay
