5th Inniskilling DG rank slides?
All,
Cannot find any reference to these at all. The only thing I am sure of is that they are post ww2 of course. I am assuming they are for officers, but what period and did they wear cloth or metal rank insignia on them? Thanks much! CB |

Anybody on these? Could they be some kind of prototype that was never adopted? The colour is Primrose by the way.

5RIDG Rank Slide
I have one with two cloth pips attached. I have seen others, don't think they are particularly rare.

There is s good chance that they are described in THE DRESS DISTINCTIONS OF THE 5TH. ROYAL INNISKILLING DRAGOON GUARDS, the Langridge series. My copy in is storage and I don’t recall any details. Perhaps someone on the forum has a copy they can look up for you.
I too have seen these from time to time |
