Peter
I recently bought your book and I for one are more than happy with the layout and am looking forward to your second world war book. Will it be a large format book with 8 x 10 photos and cost a weeks wages. Cheers Paul. |

Book:British Army Cap Badges WW1
I have a Copy of this book By Peter Doyal & Chris Foster and I like it. Its a useful book with good pictures and captions and at a reasonable price. I would be happy to buy the WW2 version when it appears. DonF

I think badges should be illustrated in colour and on an exact 1:1 scale.
My "Proficiency badges" fails the first test, and passes the second. The Doyle book does what it says on the tin, and, for my precise purposes [I think the world stopped in 1919] exactly what I need. However, sheer idle curiosity [and affordability] will ensure I buy the WW II volume when published. As a footnote, I have often found collectors of militaria loath to buy reference material ......... logically, that's what one should start with. |
