Default US badges

Good afternoon,

I have found in a US lot these 2 badges I cannot identify

Neither look like any US badge I've ever seen. Have no idea on them.

Those are US Army Distictive Unit insignia, known as DI's or DUI's. The red circle with feather is the pre WW2 Hawaiian Division HQ. I do not recognize the yellow one, but by it's color and motif, it is most likely Air Corps, later Air Force.

CB, I'm not sure they are DIs, as I collected them for a good while and never saw any made like that nor any listed in my reference books. DIs were part of the uniform and made like other insignia in the US. Perhaps sweetheart pins would be more likely just based on construction.

Here are just a few of the DIs I had.

NS Meyer was a major maker of Dis and other US insignia.
