Me too. Anyone ever actually seen and held an original of one of these?

I sent an image which i was told genuine. The sender retracted his opinion that it was genuine a few months after.
I always thought and from the information provided by the museum that the kc crowned knot was worn virtually right up to amalgamation. Certainly wasnt the strap type with scrolls. |

Which type do you mean? The simple "Crown Over Knot" badge, worn during WW2 with both QVC and KC, and always in gilding metal, or the officers' pattern (which became the all ranks pattern in the 1950s)? They are not quite as hen's teeth as you might think, but prices vary hugely.
Crown over knot in white metal (except as collar badges) are dud as they are usually just South Staffordshire Regiment badges minus scroll. |

We are refering to the Staffs Yeomanry cap badge made in ANODISED ALLUMINIUM with a Kings Crown.
Extremely scarce . . . . I only have a related 'kings crown' button as per post 1. Sadly . . . |
