Default WW2 72nd Hampshire Yeomanry Badge Question

At some point I plan to add this all brass badge to my small artillery collection, but have a question about it. In my copies of Gaylor, and Doyle and Foster it is shown with a solid crown. I see quite a few very convincing listings for this badge on eBay and on dealer sites where the crown is voided.

Note - this picture is just to show what I am asking about. I don't remember where I got it, and it is not one I am pursuing. For example only.

My question is do I need to find a solid crown, or are both versions correct?

Thank you,

Terry
