Default Silver Crown, is it military or Police?

Hi all,

I just got this single Crown and I was intrigued of its construction. Also I haven't seen them before with the screw posts.

Is it military or police? Also from what period it could be? I assume 1950-70s?

Thanks,

Timo

It is a Superintendent's rank Crown. The pattern and style of fitting is unique to the Metropolitan Police (London). It probably dates from pre. 1952. However, by default its actually current again.

Dave.
