Unknown blanking patch - SFSG?
A recent find this mtp blanking patch, with the badge design embroidered directly onto the panel.
Not a badge I am familiar with, however potentially SFSG or SRR? Is anyone able to shed any light on this unit? Regards all Bess |

Hello Bess, I cannot comment if the patch is attributable to any military unit, but that Spartan badge appears to be a direct knock-off of this long standing Mil-Spec Monkey design - https://milspecmonkey.com/store/deca...-grey_on_black

The MTP fabric may not be UK official type? Hard to tell from the photo.

Hi Sean
Rebelow Ukrainian moral patch, however I have seen this design before and it could be a generic patch like the prolific use of the Punisher patches during GWOT period. https://www.ebay.com/itm/32581533333...gAAOSwx1Njtq17 cheers Phill |

(some of) 21 & 23 SAS did (briefly) wear blanking patches with the 1 ISR Brigade spider on them during the period that they were part of it. Never seen any other part of UKSF wear blanking patches (or for that matter the MTP uniforms they go on) since MTP came in unlesss they were pretending to be someone else. They've been issued Crye and Taiga kit in Multicam since well before MTP was a thing, and before that the Tantalus or Taiga DPM. And yes, even as 'barrack dress' as can be seen from the 75th anniversery painting that shows a Trooper by the clocktower in what passes for barrack dress.

Thanks chaps - I think John above nailed this one. Its the 'milspecmonkey' logo, just embroidered onto a blanking patch.
So airsoft or some other nonsense like that, no doubt - nothing to do with the military proper. |
