Default Tank Corps and Recce Corps lapel badges

Hey Guys,

Here's some of my small Tank Corps and Recce Corps lapel badges.

I'm guessing sweetheart or OCA badges?

Mick

From the photographs, I would think the first four are sweetheart brooches, the Recce Corps might be too.

Hi Mick

Nice group of sweethearts, particularly like the MGC, and I would plump for OCA for this Recce example, it’s a button hole variety and relatively plain. I’ve never quite understood why they use blue enamelling on these, or is it just a case of green doesn’t tend to make for a feminine sweetheart kind of look?

I’ve got this same Recce badge plus a few more which are blue enamel, I’ll post pics later on.

Cheers
John

Here are the Recce sweethearts and OCA badges I have, from the left,
1) without question a sweetheart in Silver
2) likely sweetheart, in Sterling silver
3) I'm assuming to be a sweetheart
4) I'm assuming to be OCA rather than sweetheart
5) Pretty sure this one is for the OCA and has the period feel to be an early one, the first OCA badges were available from late 1949, 1000 were made and they'd nearly all gone within six months. (from Recce Journal)
Cheers

Agreed, I don't see how it can be a sweetheart with a button hole fitting to it's reverse.
