A 3rd The King's Own Hussars officer's silver and gilt badge with w/e lug fittings.
A nice badge until a horse knacker with an angle grinder attacked the scroll in what was presumably an attempt to make it serviceable as a Queen's Own Hussars badge? Maybe an old soldier wanted a QOH badge for his beret for Remembrance Day or whatever and had to make do with a ringer. Strange, a real hatchet job. A couple of good whacks with a hammer would be a quicker and easier way of ruining a badge. Despite the deliberate clumsy damage, somebody loved this badge - the horses tail has been carefully reattached. "JR GAUNT LONDON" and "S" markings.
