Just thought I would share a picture of my KC QUOTC cap badge. I would love to see any other examples in member's collections - cap badges/ shoulder titles/ anything to Queen's OTC

Very interesting, Ian. I've known a couple of pipers at Queen's, but as far as I'm aware they only ever wore their own caubeen with the standard cap badge for parades and memorials. What are the dimensions?

Nice. I have several staybrites, though they are all maker marked 'Firmin'
Do you know when the silver one dates from?
I also see a cheeky KC on the left too.

I thought this type of crown is Victorian.

Phil, I don't have the Victorian badge to compare, but here are two Royal Irish Rifles badges to illustrate the difference. The KC (on the right) is domed with a protruding point, whereas at QVC (on the left) flares out at either side.

That's a great sets of collars too, Danny. The production of a brass collar seems to suggest that there may also be a OSD cap badge. Are you aware of the existence of any such badge?

The form of Victorian crown being referred to isn't the "big eared" Victorian crown, it's the "Jubilee" or "flat topped" crown which resembles the King's crown.

Leigh, the cap badge is definitely KC as the corp was founded in 1908

Kyle. In Joe McDonnell's book cap badges in light bronze, gilding metal, dark bronze, WM, chrome and in gilt are mentioned.
