Default Munitions Supply Transport badge

Hi

Here is an interesting WW2 badge on the Aust War Memorial site (in a portrait painting). Has anyone heard about the Munitions Supply Transport service? Does anyone have any information?

Regards

Dennis

I would guess they transported ammo from the Commonwealth Explosives Factory, Maribynong to other locations.

Isn't that the General Motors Holden logo on the lady's top pocket?

I am not trying to pick on you or anything, but I cannot assume this obvious possibility as implied in the title. This is because the driver's vehicle is pictured in the background, and it is a staff car. This lady could be a car pool driver for the officials/workers at the munitions factory/factories. Maybe that is why she has a fancy uniform with badges?

All the best
