Good gracious, you don't have to thank me, it's not as though it costs anything to reply, to be quite honest, I'm not really a badge collector, if I were, I would look out for the attached or similar, but, the Delhi Spearmen were very exceptional soldiers.
If you take WW2 for example, they had lost their horse's, but, eighty years ago the poor buggers, ended up in France with Vickers light tanks and a few Cruisers, things came to a head with the ill fated 51st Highland Division at St Valery, C Squadrons Cruiser Troop fought it out with Jerry to the end, from memory 2nd Lieutenant Steel got a DSO, he could have simply said, okay lets not take it any further and surrendered, but, he was a Delhi Spearman, how many junior subalterns walked around with that ribbon on their battle dress, superb soldiers!
