DWR versions
My digital camera appears to have gone belly up, so I can't provide a photo, but can some of you provide a bit of feedback on this one, please? I have a Duke of Wellington's Regt cap badge that has unvoided bits under the lion's neck and on each side of the coronet, and I'm wondering whether this is a legitimate strike, or an indicator that it's a restrike? The badge itself seems of pretty good quality. I'll try to get a photo out some stage soon, but any comments in the meantime would be welcome.

I have a couple of variants, certain both are ok: first with a unvoided circular area under the chin:

second much smaller area under chin ( jaw I think I should be saying )
this one stamped F.N. B'HAM. (both badges have unvoided sides to the coronet)

That's great, Mike -- your first example is basically identical to the one I'm talking about. Thank you!

Here is mine for comparison purposes. I believe it to be a ww2 era badge. Note that it has four attachment points.
