Hi Phil.
From the back, I would say OK. But the front scroll looks like something may have been erased. The seeding isn't that prominent.

Simon,

Simon
thanks for your reply this as been a main concern regarding the plinth although some of the seeding seems to be there I tried to convince myself it was well polished.

Hi Phil

Here's mine, and the seeding on the plinth. I think what's left on this one, is what is seen on a standard Egypt plinth. It's mostly at the ends. There again. It isn't unknown for this to be done period as stand in. I have a badge where there looks to have been an insert done on the tool to get rid of the Egypt.

Regards
Simon.

Cool 5-6-7-8th Lancashire Fusiliers

I would say that this is a good badge that has been well polished, look at the sphinx above the plinth, definite signs of polishing.

Hi Rob

Not that I want to rain on Phil's day anymore. Agreed a well polished badge, but it would be tough to rub out Egypt, and leave the border of the plinth intact.

Simon.

For me Phil, IMO I would keep it. If it wasn't too much.

There has been discussions on the forum that this was done at production, as we have shown I think with the tool insert South Lancs. And by the TF chaps themselves.

Keep it until maybe a seeded plinth one comes along.

Regards
Simon.
