Mick,

The badge of the 16th Battalion was the Cameron badge with three scrolls "Cameron" "Highlanders" and "Western Australia" at the bottom the badge and "XVI" between the "Cameron" and "Highlanders" scrolls

Cheers
Chris

Here is a 1930 - 42 badge which was the same as that re-introduced in 1948.

Cheers
Chris

The badge was given to me while I attended a course with 16 Btn during the late 1960s.

If not of the 16th - perhaps it was a ring in - possibly their Q store may have been short and they temporarily used the Cameron Highlander's badge in lieu.

Something similar to 10 Light Horse when their supply ran short just before an important parade.

They approached me and I cast a number of badges out of pewter (I melted down worn out pewter mugs sold in second hand shops for a song) which I was never able to get back.

Then again, the one that I posted may have been used for something else in the regiment.

When I get a chance I will look through the rest of my collection to see if I can find one with that text

G'day there,

Did you ever find out anything about your badge?
