I checked wikipedia, not e-bay
On ebay the badges show a mix of crowns: QVC and KC.

There are no Oxfordshire Hussars buttons on offer. Google has a few. Most are my QVC 19 mm white metal design.

picclick took a group of 4 off e-bay, but it is in Google's cache only. This may show an anodised aluminium button. Now, which crown does it have?

Those buttons all have the QVC as appropriate for the cypher. The regiment was never happy with the KC cap badges and apparently only tolerated them until the correct QVC ones were available. The correct crown also appeared on the cap badge of the Oxfordshire Territorials.

Yes those buttons all have QVC, and it appears the cap badge with KC was a temporary expedient, thus it seems likely as stated earlier that my button is an 'original' from circa 1960s.
