Default Welsh Horse - Collar Dogs

Just uploading images of three officers collars all different which for a fairly small unit does seem strange also different designs and metals, so all different makers and sizes.

1. 33mm x 23mm
2. 32mm x 22mm
3. 31mm x 20mm

G'day Brooksie

Whilst Im no expert on Welsh Horse there has been a post on these previously and my understanding is the any badge with the W & H voided, like the No 3 badge is a repro. I think I have printed this thread out, I will have a look and see if I can find the printed copy and get back to you.

Regards

Phil.

Phil,

The voided reference applies to cap badges. These are officers collars and come in voided versions.

I'll post mine later.

Hwyl,

Kevin

Here are mine.
1. Pair of voided bronzed. The light was not good on the shot, the true colour is nearer to that in 2 below. 32.23x21.79
2. Rear of same.
3. Gilded unvoided, one of a pair. 32.84x22.04
4. Rear of same.
5. What looks to be a blackened gilded example. 32.66x21.98
6. Rear of same.
7. Bronzed variant. 33.42x21.95
8. Rear of same.

Phil this is correct in 99% of the time apart from the OSD version which has voided W & H.

Blimey Kevin that now seven different variants.

Must have been producing them in Cardiff, Newtown, Diss and Egypt (gonna have to work out where else).
