KOSB Bonnet badge and formation signs
Good day gentlemen
I picked up these groups this morning. I'm pretty certain that the vintage is WW2 but the Royal Scots badges may be earlier. The rear of the KOSB badge looks odd to me. I have never seen this type of lug on a British badge. What do you think? RS and SEAC are probably not a group just randomly brought together at some stage. As ever all comments are most welcome James Last edited by jamesmilitaria; 07-09-14 at 04:38 PM. |

Very nice indeed, I like your KOSB which was made during the war, wonderful!

I believe that the tartan flash was worn by 52nd ( Lowland) Infantry Div during WW2 (so 4 & 5 KOSB) but how do the Mountain flashes fit in?

Well, from the photographs you show, I would not have a problem with these items, they all look okay to me, I think I've only ever seen one other KOSB like your example, not a common badge and very nice to see, you get the Parachute Regiment, Army Air Corps and a number of others made like that, as to your items being "a group" or merely a number of items offered of sale as a lot, it is not possible to say unless you happen to know the exact history, but, very nice.
