Royal Army Service Corps Anodised aluminium
Here is an Aluminium anodised R.A.S.C. badge in Gold, riveted slider to rear? Maker mark is :-
R.A. Hughes Ltd. Any ideas on this slider fixed similar to some shown previously, these aren't being copied or some such? |

These were some of the early experiments with a/a fixings. the first a/a badges had folded over lugs that snapped, then they tried rivets including with metal sliders which were tricky and expensive. Finally they developed a glue/solder to affix a/a sliders directly to the badge,
It's not a fake. Alan |

RA Hughes didn't make very many anodised badges Billy. Probaly a dozen at most. There is a list in "No Bull" .
