Default 1901 Sterling Silver Pedestal Oil Lamp Royal Engineers Malta

Hi Everyone,

This amazing piece turned up locally. It was a wedding present in 1901 to Capt F C Seaman Royal Engineers, given to him by his brother Officers Royal Engineers Malta. It's missing the the burner and globe right now but I'm trying to locate replacements. It came from the Goldsmiths co Regent St.

Hi Keith,

A spectacular piece there. You must get that back to fully working condition and USE it...

What a treat.

Cheers,

Roy

Thanks Roy! I’m trying it’s hard to find the correct burner here in the states.
I’ve been watching eBay though.

Hi Keith,

Just came back from my local picker and noticed that he's got a box with a good amount of period burners. Could you post an image of what you're looking for so I could pass it on and maybe we'll find a match!!

Vincent.

Hi Vincent,

I'm really not sure what belongs on there, I don't know much about oil lamps. It would be a silver plated one and the opening on the top of the reservoir is 1 1/2 inches.

Next time I'm around I'll take some snapshots and post them.
