No it is not the same, it is generally larger, of a different design to the standard star and more ornate.

Royal Scots also have the Star of the Order of the Thistle.
The Eversleigh star hasn't the sharpness of the garter star, the four points are not as prominent. |

It is a tad different, but not different enough to be generally noticed, it seems to be a regimental oddity..... they are definately lrge though, and cost a damn sight more from the regiment... I bought 6 of the bloomin' things.....

While the Middlesex and SWB etc, may have had their own patterns, I am sure that in actual practice officers would have worn whatever was available, particularly in war time. The Guards would likely have adhered to their patterns more strictly however.

Picked up this pair this morning ,not really my thing but thought they looked great and had to have them, I have never seen this type of fixing before ,any ideas to why they have the long 'wires'.
