Australian Brass Numerals 1912 - 1918
Hi,
Here are some of my brass numerals, which are made by Stokes. All are approximately between 19mm - 20mm in height. I was just wondering if anyone else on the forum collects these brass numerals and would like to show some pictures of what they have. Whether you have 1 or more then 10 numerals to show, please put them up, so we can all appreciate looking at them. Cheers, Invest Last edited by Investment; 17-03-15 at 05:49 AM. |

I have had this for many years but don't know anything about it. found it when clearing my Nan's house hear in Vic in the 1970's. Nickel plated over copper/brass?, no markings. maybe someone can ID it Jim |

Hi Jim,
I've asked a friend to see if he might be able to identify your numeral and find out from what period it originates. My friends reply below. "Looks to be a good quality, die cast numeral. Military or Police (more likely Police). I couldn't see the lugs properly so I'm not sure if it is from a commonwealth country. As to age, if it was British Commonwealth, definitely post 1881, but other than that - anyone’s guess." Cheers, Invest Last edited by Investment; 09-04-15 at 04:46 AM. |

Hi,
Here are a few more of my brass numerals, which have no manufacturers name. All are approximately between 19mm - 20mm in height. It would be great to see some pictures of other brass numerals, if forum members would like to share them. Cheers, Invest Last edited by Investment; 13-04-15 at 05:44 AM. |
