Default 14th Hussars Arm Badge (and a surprise!)

I recently bought a white metal 14th Hussars arm badge, as worn by Cpls and L/Sgts from 1867. Nothing particularly unusual; the sceptre had broken off at some stage and the lugs had been replaced by a brooch fitting - both quite common with these two piece badges. However, when I removed the eagle to inspect the rear I found etched on the shield the name R COKER, previously hidden by the eagle. Now I have the fun of trying to trace him via the Regimental records - I'll keep you posted!
