Default Small Welsh Guards titles

I picked these up recently in an antique shop. There were no other significant badges with them to help identify what they were. They look to be identical to the standard brass shoulder title but a lot smaller. Any ideas as to what they are would be welcome. Regards fred

Many small men get promoted quickly in the army so I suppose a small Welsh Guard title is probably Sir or RSM ?

I have a pair of the WG small titles and I have also heard the 'mess dress' opinion. I also have a RHG and a LG small shoulder title?
Someone suggested to me that they where worn with foreign service clothing between the wars in Egypt? If that where so there should be other small shoulder titles out there?

Thanks for your comments.I am a little more enlightened.I have come across some 'small' Welsh Guards senior rates and officers but perhaps that is a little unfair to pick on then. My grandfather was a small Grenadier RSM at 6ft 1.

I think that they were originally intended for khaki drill uniform, as there had been a convention across the infantry that smaller titles were used on KD, but were then coopted for the roll collar of sergeants’ mess dress after the war.

Jerry i reckon they would look nasty on a greatcoat imho, but also i don't reckon the lugs would be long enough to go through the material ?

I am sure you are correct, I think tropical dress seems a good answer
