Unusual Artillery strengthener
A recent purchase of a KC Royal Artillery badge which has a strengthener which I have never seen before, it had some verdegris on it and the appearance is caused by me forgetting how long I had left it in the vinegar!
Any ideas as to who and when it was made? Thanks in advance Rob |

If you look obliquely you’ll see the reinforcing and slider are one part. These badges are I believe made by Buttons Ltd and marked examples can sometimes be found.
Personally I’ve always attributed Buttons Ltd marks as post WW2. https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...1&d=1653825383 |

Thanks Luke, this badge has not seen a lot of elbow grease and was issued but probably not worn as the beret badge was in vogue post WWII, so Buttons made these, no markings on the slider, but often the case.

Hi Rob, these have appeared on the forum before, several members have examples, here are mine, a blank one like yours and one with Buttons mark on it.
