Unknown Civil Defence/WVS Items
In a recently purchased lot of WW2 era Civil Defence/WVS items were several pieces I could not identify. Can someone kindly tell me about the printed WVS disc? The small rectangle may just be a clothing label of some kind, but thought I should ask. Finally the ribbon arrangement seems to be in Civil Defence colors, but what does it represent?

Hello dobw, The square cloth with W.V.S. seems to be a printed patch that would be cut out around the broken lines and folded to round shape then sewn onto the item of uniform. Which one I do not know. This was a economy measure.
The other 2 items I cannot help with. engr9266 Jerry p.s. If you want to pass it on I would be interested.

The ribbon is a cut down ribbon band from the CD felt hat

Many thanks to Jerry, London, and Mike for the fascinating information! Does anyone know how the round WVS badge was worn?
