Does anyone know this collar badge, possibly police?

It would help to know the size, but akthough it looks Scottish, a brass collar badge of this design was worn 1903-12 by the 2nd Aust Inf Regt

Denbighshire (Wales) Constabulary wore similar as part of their corporate image in the 1930's and previous to that. Its white metal finish lends itself to that supposition.

It could be a civilian Sporran badge. This was a popular design for horse hair sporran badges. Often seen in photos from 1890-1940
