Default Unknown cap

Dear all,

Once again, I need your help to identify this cap.

Any clue? No tailor indication but the size 7 1/4.

Many thanks.

Cheers,

A

Dear Tinhat,

Thank you! The hawk is looking on the left? I am totally lost with the heraldry of the area

The buttons hawks are looking on the right.

Best regards,

A

I would concur with Tinhat that the badge, based on the green shield, is from Libya. The buttons are, I believe, from the United Arab Republic (Libya, Egypt, and Syria), so after that split the owner may have simply replaced the UAR badge with that of Libya, rather than buy a new cap.

Can you show a picture of the inside of the cap please, they are difficult to date but this looks nicely made.

Thanks,
Steve.

The inner is not as beautiful as it appears externally. The «*Lybian*» cap is on the right. I have placed a better looking inner on the left (Egyptian cap) :

Thanks,

Thanks, If I had to guess, I would say the Libyan one on 70s, the Egyptian 80s.

My Arab army headgear is shown in the link below, you should join and add yours - there isn't many of us about.
