Default Navigator Wing with a Red Wreath

Friends, a friend who is not a member here has asked me (my expertise is more British Army) for help with a badge he has been given. No picture was attached. Described as "Navigator Half Wing, padded.. but the wreath around the N is red. Definitely red, not a shade of brown".

I am not familiar; anyone in a position to advise? Would be much appreciated.

It would be much better if you can obtain a picture. Warren Carroll did say something about a red wreath issue being awarded by one of the Canadian EFTS schools so the pic would go a long way to seeing the type of manufacture etc.

I always try to get a picture, but when you can't, you can't. My apologies. Thank you for the suggestion, though.
