Default Cat/Panther Badge/Pin?

Hi All,

I metal detect in an area in South Africa with quite a bit of Victorian era buttons and relics. This particular find has got me stumped and I thought I'd check in with you guys and see if anyone recognizes it. This badge came from an area where I have been finding quite a few Victorian Artillery buttons with some General Service buttons and one Victorian Royal Engineers button so I'm hoping you guys can help. It's about 35mm x 25mm and has what looks like loops for a pin at the back.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I would say it's a Tiger. Leicestershire Regt collar? Gordon's?

Not York and Lancaster.

On Y&L Tigers, the ground is uneven. On the example shown, the ground is even.

I would say the dug up example is Gordon Highlanders.
