Default "S" Marked OSD Cornwall Regiment Badge

Hi Guys, I have this OSD badge to the Cornwall Regiment in my "For Sale" album with an "S" makers mark on it. Any ideas out there as to who this mark belongs to?

Regards,

Greg

Greg,
"S" on a British badge usually means it is silver with "P" being for plated! Although it is normally stamped, whereas yours looks carved/engraved so could be the owners initial? It could also be very dirty silver and not OSD?

Thanks Andy, I'll check again to see if it's silver. The "S" does have the same font as a Gaunt "S", it's more italicized S with serifs.
