Default QVC Hertfordshire Constabulary Cap Badge

I would appreciate any information as well as opinions of the badge in the photos.

Thank you Luke.

Would you be able to tell me what features identify it as being non-genuine?

The only white metal QVC cap badge used previously by Herts. Constabulary is a voided version. These solid centre examples are out and out repros. and fit for the bin.

The current lower ranks cap badge has a voided centre in chrome. It has a correctly designed current QC atop. That said, the old QVC cap badge in voided chrome is still widely worn. See photo of the latest cap badge.

The QVC styled badge is worn in the women's hats unless it's changed in the last 2 years.

Why would they wear it just on the women's hats? Presumably on the basis of what you say the men wear a different badge? Or don't you know?

That's the only place I've personally seen them in use while in town, pretty sure there was one on a female hat in the HQ canteen cabinets when the great war society,

To reiterate what I said earlier, the QVC versions are still widely worn.

The poor quality, for starters.

Here is a better photo.

The quality seems pretty good to me but quality is really subjective to personal opinions.

Thank you Simon. Would you be able to tell me what indicates it is a fake?

Yes, the same reason as post No. 5 above from someone who knows more about Police badges than anyone on here.

The badge would seem to be from the same die as the chromed E/W lugged badge in the link I provided.
