Mis written No.6 commando title
Has anyone ever seen a No.6 commando title that has an error in the spelling?

I have seen other original titles with errors in the spelling. I used to own a beautifully made Italian 'Parachute' title that was spelled 'Parahute' which I thought was quite funny.
I believe you have an original WW2 title that has incomplete stitching on the first 'O' Paul |

Cheers Paul
It came with a bunch of these but this was the only one with an error.
Parahute. I never found parachuting to be a "hoot", well not until I was under a good canopy anyway. Regards Jon |

I have a standard REME black on khaki slip-on - very uninteresting except that it is in mint condition and actually reads R.E.M.L. Probably a production error but I liked the idea or RE Mile Laying or even RE Movement Light. Mike

Hello Jon (and all)
An interesting variant where perhaps red thread ran out in manufacture? I have a pair of attributed theatre made Commando titles where one is spelt COMMANDO and the other COMMAMDO. If you saw them you would definitely think they were wrong, but they are part of an attributed grouping for someone who served in the Far East. The sad thing is we can disregard such items without knowledge or context. Not that I would disagree with anyone who said we have to adopt a 'forensic' cautious approach to collecting these days. What about a missed spelt tattoo? We had a guy when I was with 59 in 1991 who had a tattoo on his left arm. Oh and another who had an upside dagger on this lower leg. Tattoo and beer don't mix them :-)
