What is your most wanted Prison badge??
Maybe we can help each other out - I have most and many in my collection, but the one I have always been missing is the GV solid brass kings crown worn straight after the reign of Queen Victoria whilst all Warders still wore the last Shako. I have a few photos of it and have seen it in various museums and collections.

This look like it- 1 WAR DEPT AUXILIARY POLICE(CYPRUS) kc brass slider# but this was worn later although I am not sure when?

That is a collar dog and it being solid is rare, but, sadly, not the one I am after  You need to do some more research as I reckon you might have a uniquie little item there. Many many thanks for trying to help though mate

I’ve just discovered this thread: I don’t collect prison items per se, but have recently started to seriously look at insignia from the British Military Administrations in former Italian colonies in Africa and the Med. To that end top of my ‘wants’ would be Tripolitania Prisons (should such a beast exist - I recently acquired a Cyrenaica Prisons cap badge, so it is possible).
