Default Fusiliers Busby 1866

Hi all,

A Fusiliers busby which replaced the shako in 1866. QVC Fusiliers busby badge.

As far as I'm aware, this item of head dress is referred to as a fur cap and not a busby. Busbies complete with busby bags are a cavalry item.

Isn't a fusilier cap made with sealskin and therefore named busby?

I think Graham is right I've always been taught refer to it as a fur cap, the definition of a busby is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Busby
