I am pretty sure that a silver imp has never been worn by the royal Anglian Regt. But I do have a Lincolnshire acf band helmet plate with a imp

Forgot to post images, now done!
What I meant was prior to Royal Anglians, did any of the Rgts before amalgamations have the Imp as a talisman, good luck symbol? |

The 4th Bn Lincolnshire Regiment wore the imp.
(One ref. being "Badges on Battledress" by Jon Mills). Last edited by leigh kitchen; 19-06-19 at 07:29 AM. Reason: Images added. |

There are threads on forum, I think, mentioning the Imp, the white metal ones possibly being tramways, boy scouts..... |

There is a thread to a HMSS Officers imp but ORs wore them in GM in pairs as part of 4th Battalion only.

The Imp is a Lincolnshire thing.... I think it was the 4th Lincs Regt that wore it originally? The Imp comes from a "grotesque" in Lincolnshire Cathedral.
