Never mind Malc,

I haven't bid on this badge so far but was hoping to steam in at the end after watching it for the best part of a week.

I've always said that EBay is anyone's game but a game all the same and maybe better not to give it away.

Ry

Hi Simon,

I'd be very grateful, budget allowing of course. Very kind of you.

Many thanks.

Don't you mean "Badgekeeping" Steve?

I purchased my example of this badge from Bosleys online auction, for a lot less than the bidding currently stands with 11 hours to go.

Someone obviously wants this badge quite badly.

Good luck to them

Ry

I was hoping to get it for under £30.... Nice looking badge but no idea why it went for so much.

Hi gents,

I offered my Bosleys badge to a collector a while back for £90 wishing to finance another example, the going rate from a dealer being £100 + P&P & fees.

If I'd thought that a buyer would have paid £137 for it I would have put it on EBay.

Nice badge though.

Ry

£100 !!!! that beans on toast for long time. My collection of RB badges is missing the earlier ones... Better start saving then.

No wonder there are so many fakes and restrikes out there if you can possibly get big money for one. Shame.

I hope it's gone to a good home, or someone connected to the Regiment. I'd hate to think of that out of sight in a shoe box somewhere and never seeing the light of day.

Some people do seem to get carried away bidding on E bay-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

And there is still 7 days to go!!!

So what would you say it should have gone for, at reasonable cost, and not with a bidding frenzy.

Simon.
