Unknown FR half wing?

Not a clue what this wing is, or even if it is british? Any help?

It's not even listed in any of the websites showing current and obsolete RAF wings and half wings. Is it for sale?

No Fighter or Flight Recorder as far as I am aware.

There are a number of odd wings, many made by tailors but not officially sanctioned, whilst others were converted. I know of AEO (I think Air Electronics Officer), GG (?), FR and AP (Air Photographer).

I have a wartime issue M (Met) wing given to me by the original owner, who for three years wore a converted N wing. Likewise, when the new trade of Air/Flight Engineer was announced in 1942 tailors started producing AE and FE wings, which were both worn despite no official authorisation.

Hi All,
Thanks for the feedback. My initial thought was that the FR could stand for Fighter Reconnaissance, but could not confirm via an internet search and as David stated - no reference in any of the known sources.
