WW2 Border Regiment
Hello,
I'm looking for WW2 period Border Regiment cap badge that would have been worn on the red beret. I've searched the internet and various sites but can't find a definitive answer. Not sure if its a slider or lugs, bronze or silver. Any help would be appreciated If someone would point me in the right direction, that would be great. If anyone knows of one for sale, that would be better Thanks in advance Lee |

Hi Lee
It is a white metal badge with a slider. Go on to ebay british army cap badges and type in border regiment.Something should come up. Neil |

Plastic economy was worn beside whitemetal, and I assume silver too by officers.
Make sure you buy a badge with the red cloth still present behind the dragon! |

It's a good one worn by the Regular battalion 1906-1958.

03.05.43. Plastic Border Regt cap badge sealed, so it would have been in service whilst the Bn was Airborne.
I think the last wartime contract for metal Border Regt cap badges was delivered to Ordnance in April 1942 so a mix of badges would have been worn in 1944/45. Stephen. |
