Unknown badge Possibly Indian BRV

Hi Guys,
Not sure if this is in the correct section? I think the badge might be of Indian origin. Any help would be appreciated.

Badge size is 65mm X 80mm and is gilded.

I cannot give a definitive answer, but the star above usually indicates the badge to be Indian and the BRV may be Bangalore Volunteer Rifles.

Edited out by self: A badge for a regiment from perhaps Pakistan or Balochistan was pure guesswork on my part and I have gone back to the drawing board.

I agree with Milmed: very probably Indian and the Bangalore Rifle Volunteers is a good guess.
