Default Rifle Brigade Silver badge

Hi all,

just wondering how common are these silver made Rifle brigade badges? I haven't came across with these before until now and after first glance didn't find anything online to compare.

What date is the 'Hall Mark' ? If wartime, there were probably quite a few, the manufacturers (who were they ?) will have wanted a reasonable return.

I have to admit that I haven't heard of Edwards & Sons - but might it be F&S for Firmin & Sons ??

Of course Firmin and I blame predictive text .

Also looks like 1917 is the correct year.

Thanks all!
