Default RCAF, Bomber Command

Pictured is Donald Grant Goodfellow, who was born and raised in the home we have lived in the past few years. Unfortunately he and his Halifax crew were killed on a raid to Berlin on Feb 15, 1944.

The first shot shows Don (far right) on Sept 23, 1943 after their 5th raid and the "best prang" they had witnessed to date. He was a Warrant officer II at this date.

The 2nd shot is while on leave to Edinburgh Castle in late November, 1943. It is nearly impossible to make out for me but those of you in the know might know this. What is on both forearm sleeves? Almost looks to me like a Warrant officer crown. He was promoted to Warrant Officer I on Nov 23, 1943, while he was away on leave.
