Smile Help needed!

Last week, I bought a collection of cloth badges, most of which I am keeping for my collection, However, there are two items that I cannot identify.

1. A bright green oakleaf on a white background.

2. Crossed claymores in bright green on a maroon/purple background.

I have been through my small library and cannot identify these badges, the collection consisted of various items from a wide timespan. Sorry no pics available.

The crossed Claymores are a Scottish Commando badge, I can't locate my insignia disc or I'd tell you which one.

Here you go:
The 2nd Special Service Battalion green crossed claymores on a purple square.

Smile 2nd Special Service Battalion

Thanks Tynesideirish and Blackpowder for the information, this badge came with a small collection I bought last weekend.

I have seen the other badge with the oakleaf which has been providing a meal for some hungry moths, unfortunately I cannot remeber where.

Default Green Oak leaf

Are vyou sure that nit is an oak leaf and not a fig leaf. Green fig leaf on white background is the formation sign of 3 corps.Fourth row down, third from left. John.

There were (or possibly still are) 2 pairs going. A pair in quite good condition and the other pair not so good (which is not really surprising considering their age). These have been available since (at least) early last year. I also believe that Bosleys had a single or a pair in one of their auctions in the last 12 months.

Yes they have been available for a while now, they're not priced to sell quick.
