RCAF Royal Canadian Air Force cap badge - genuine or fake?

Hi,

A week ago, I posted this badge in the Royal Canadian Air Force Section to request some opinions on whether it might be WW2 era or a copy.

Some members very kindly replied, however there is still mixed opinion and I am still unsure.

I thought I might request some additional opinions here in this section if possible (as this section deals specifically with copy recognition) so that I can reach a final conclusion.

The badge is solid, but appears to be quite crudely cast. This could be due to heavy polishing or the fact that it could even be a field made copy as the members have suggested.

Apologies for re-posting, but I am hoping to establish whether this one is good or bad and would really appreciate any assistance if possible.
