Default Royal Naval Division

Attached for Reference:

1. Hood Battalion RND Formation Sign
2. Hawke Battalion RND Small Formation Sign
3. Hawke Battalion RND Large Formation Sign. I am told this was worn on the back of the battledress by some of the men when going into battle to keep the battalion together. Comments please.

The above also shown in Royal Naval Division Album.

John

Default Hood Btn flash

The Hood Btn flash is the same I think as the Cambridgeshire Regt.

You may be right, however this is definitely 1WW Hood by construction and purchased as such from a well known auctioneer, I also have known the previous two owners. I am purely a 1WW RN collector.

Cool Hood Btn flash

John, I don't doubt the flash is of the Hood Battalion of the Great War era, but the Cambridgeshire Regt also wore this flash then and the cadet force still do to this day.
By the way, I have looked at your album on RN Division items, very nice items.

Rob
