As far as I know, there is no permanent New Zealand Army Support Group Antarctica. However, each year along with other elements of the NZDF the NZ Army does contribute specialist personnel to support the Antarctic programme.
The NZ Army s contribution is normally task organised depending on the specific needs of the Antarctic programme for the upcoming season, but will typically include; load and passenger processing, fuel delivery, ship off-load teams at McMurdo and light engineering and Base support teams and personnel (plant operators, cargo handlers, communications & administration staff) at Scott Base. Hope this helps |

Hi
I was in the RNZN and was seconded to a civilian supply ship sent to resupply the NZ base many years ago. I also had a friend who spent a year on the ice seconded from the RNZN if that helps and there was a few army personal there during my visit regards |
