Is there a website which explains all the information on the service records you get from the mod ?

Other than the helpful people on this site.

Hi,
I've no idea, having searched for them myself I've drawn a blank, but are you on the British Medal Forum? If not I'm sure if you post on there you will get a quick, informative reply from some extremely knowledgeable people - just be mindful it must be medal related if that's what you're looking to research

I know they gave me this link to explain the various abbreviations when I received some army service records. The “Useful abbreviations” link, bottom left. Any use?

A really great place to get help with deciphering WW2 service records, both Army and Royal Navy, is WW2Talk:
