Default U/K Sphinx Egypt Laurel Wreath Help Please

Any help would be appreciated , sphinx and Egypt used by E Lancs, Gloucestershire and others but cannot find in any of my books. Measures 65 x 70 mm

Looks like a 2nd Bn Glosters officer's badge worn on the front of the pugaree of the white foreign service helmet - according to Brinson*, similar badges were later used as 2nd Bn musicians' pouch badges. Unfortunately, he doesn't give dimensions, but states that it is much bigger than a back badge.

Thank you , it does bear a similarity to the back badge of the Glosters.

I may be wrong but it looks like it once had a crown on top that has been broken off?
